HA2 Task 6

In first column there are the original pictures used to make the label attractor. This was then made to be the background image. The second column is where I edited the picture with filtering and adding other pictures. The final column is the final piece.

 For the image for Brook I took a picture of an eye and then adjusted the colour to give of a dark effect. I added question marks to parts of the eye form the internet. I had to add the magic wand tool to remove the white background of the question mark. I then blurred them. On one i blurred then stretched to look like a tear.

 For the image for Frank I got an image of a mouth then I used the magic wand and rubber tool to get rid of the outer area. I duplicated  it and flipped one. I used the filter to change their colour. I then simply placed them on a background of a bottle and glass. Then I blurred the outlines to look as if the mouths are actually on the bottle and glass.

 For the image for Young Minds  I simply placed and image of a hat on and image of sun glasses and head phones. I then used the magic wand tool to get rid of any un-wanted bits. I then filtered, blurred and then added text.

Evaluation

For this assignment I was required re-create 6 scenes from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, within an up to date setting. Using Illustrator I was going to create each scene for the company Hip Hop Shakespeare. The company uses traditional activities which appeal to young people to teach them about Shakespeare.

At the start of the assignment I looked in the the company to see what they do and what their aims are about. I then found out about the story of Romeo and Juliet, and thought about how it would be in the present day. I watched various films that are based on the story to get a better idea of how I was going to approach the project. Before starting the project a I created a schedule so that I could keep on top of my work.

Once my ideas were finalised I began to gather images from the Internet that I used to trace over in illustrator. Each scene was shown in an up to date setting from a house part to the back allies of a city.Once I had finished I added them to the blog.

In my opinion I believe some of the work was rushed as I began to run out of time towards the end and if I was to do it again I would take my time to make it much neater with more of a house style of colours and objects. I believe I understood the breif but was unable to reach proffesional standards.

 At the begining of the task I created a time table to show my progress. Everytime a task was completed I crossed it of. I changed the Time table many times throughout the assignment.

I also did a task log to organise my work.
